Obstacles and Tries

I joined WordPress last year with wordpress’ mobile app, but there is always a bug keeping me from writing freely. Not sure if someone facing the same problem but it really bothers me.

Obstacles

The main point for me is to write freely when anything comes to mind. But since the first article “The First Wedding” I found that the app cannot really save the draft.

If I write something in the app, leave the word press app for a while, such as using safari or social media platform for more than 3 minutes, when return to the app all my drafts will be gone. This is a buzz killer since I cannot really write everything in one time without leaving the app…. The function of “saving draft” is not really convenient for me at the moment, since I can’t find it in the app (but this could be solved once more familiar to the app I guess?)

Other things like the app wasn’t really intuitive for me. So I spend many time trying to find the feature that I want to use. I will try to use the app more to see if it gets better at the end of the day.

The First Try (50/50)

So I tried to write in my “Notes” app on phone, copy and paste to the wordpress app. It turns out half successful and half failed. The success is “Notes” can really keep my words saved. The failed is that it kind of not support Traditional Chinese fonts, because when pasting the words into wordpress app, sometimes some of the words disappeared. But it doesn’t happened when I was pasting my second article. I was wondering if it is because of my default language of app is English but not Traditional Chinese.

Pasting English was a surprise for me because I never notice there is a “heading” function. And the app automatically helps me to head my headers. And it makes the article more readable.

The Second Try (Current)

So this is me now, I will try to write in the website version in the future. This is my first time logging in the website version, and it seems that the website is neat and easy to use. I think I like it now. I haven’t try the save draft functions but will see if anything happen in the future.

Fun things to say: Me and 2 friends also start a blog in the google blogger. It was fun to share writing thoughts with friends. And “not writing ” doesn’t really pressure me in this pattern.(because you know someone is still writing for the blog?) To me, Blogger really clean and fun. But I will also keep wordpress, it was free to me too , and seems like uploading photos is easier than Blogger too? Don’t know but we will see.
